training runs

Our Training Runs are designed for all levels of runners. Whether you’re a beginner runner, or new to trails, or have more experience but want help with your technical running. Our Training Runs will cover the Mountain Run & Ultra courses – plus we’ll have a social training run for our Foothills 9km!

Training run dates: 8th, 9th & 10th February 2025

I'm interested in the 2025 training runs!

From pro tips, to exclusive access to private land, you’ll have a whole heap of fun with new (or old) mates in our Training Runs, creating plenty of kMR stories along the way!

Each group will have 2 coaches who will cater for the varying different speeds and experience. There’s no need to worry about being too slow! The main group will be moving at the equivalent of a 6-8 min/km pace on the flat (speeds on the trails will be slower than that, depending on the technicality).

  • Professional certified guides and first aiders(Salomon runner, PT Simone Brick & RD Lincoln Quilliam)

  • Small groups (max 20 runners) with fast & slower groups

  • Transportation to the start and from the finish (with your drop bag!) of each leg from Cascade Brewery

  • Aid Station refreshments at the end of each leg - with all the good hydration and nutrition you can expect on kMR weekend

  • Choose to do one run, a couple, or perhaps all of them!

For people entering the Foothills 9km, we’ll announce more details on our social training run in coming months.
